Our Regular Activities
Sunday Morning Worship at 10.30am
Worship is the focus of our Sunday morning meeting. This consists of a time of open praise and worship including the reading of Scripture and reflection
upon God's Word followed by Breaking of Bread (Holy Communion) and the ministry of God's Word. We believe that the "whole counsel of God" is
needful (Acts 20:27,20) and that Christian believers are to devote themselves to the study of the Apostle's doctrine (Acts 2:42) which is the foundation
of the Church (Eph.2:20).
We are committed therefore to the expository method of teaching through the Scriptures.
Sunday School classes for children aged 0 - 11 years function while the preaching is taking place in the main hall during our Sunday morning meeting.
Sunday Evening Gospel Service at 6.30pm
The "Good News" of the message of salvation through Christ is the focus of our Sunday evening meeting. There is no greater or more
important message than this and we welcome all to come and share in it with us on Sunday evenings. Refreshments are served free of charge following the meeting.
Wednesday at 10am - Just for Prayer
This is a time set aside (as the name suggests) just for prayer.
Thursday - Bible Study and Prayer. 7.30pm
The purpose of this Bible Study is to bring more in-depth study of God's Word. We are committed to preaching through God's Word and so our Bible
studies usually take us through whole books of the Bible. The Bible study is usually followed by a time of prayer.
Monthly - Open-Air Gospel Outreach
One Saturday each month (see What's On / Diary for dates)
A group from the Church meets at 10:00am on Fazakerly Street across from the covered market in Chorley town
centre. Gospel preaching interspersed with Gospel hymns and songs, tract distribution and one to one witnessing is the usual pattern of our Open-Air meetings.
Monthly - Fellowship Sunday - The first Sunday of the month
The idea of "Fellowship Sundays" is to encourage fellowship and growth within the church. Following the morning Service on the first Sunday of each month we
are all invited to stay behind and share a meal together. After the meal, there may be Teaching/Training sessions for those who want to participate
consisting of a teaching DVD followed by a time of open discussion around the subject covered in the video presentation.
Our Child Protection Policy
Chapel House Christian Fellowship operates a Child Protection Policy written in consultation with and approved by 'thirtyone:eight' (formerly CCPAS - The Church's Child Protection Advisory
Service). A copy of our policy is filed with 'thirtyone:eight' and Social Services. According to our policy all our Children's and Youth workers have been
subject to clearance checks through the CRB.
